good news is i have 20 glass tile necklaces for the craft fair!  bad news is, only 1 squid!  after i treadmill and shower, it's probably gonna be squids all day. . .

apple-y.

apple-y is how my house smells right now.  yum.

sorry for not posting yesterday.  with the spring fling, our first craft fair, coming up on the 30th, i've been motivated to do little else but craft.  sadly, one of my projects is taking forever, while the other i can make 10 in like, 30 minutes.  i only managed to make one squid, but as long as i can make a squid a day i think we'll have plenty.  i'm also working on some glass tile pendants, got some pretty scrapbook paper yesterday, plus have 5 recycled pokemon card pendants.  very cool, if i do say so myself. 

anyway, with all that, i didn't track very well yesterday.  not to say i didn't, and i kept up with my points well (used exactly all of them and no more), but i didn't write them down in any form.  also, my journal is kinda bummin' me out.  it's getting all tore up and bug wrote on it and the stickers are coming off and blah blah blah.  it doesn't interest me anymore.  i will say that a cute book does motivate me to track!  i only have to finish out the week and then i have a nice fresh one to start!  i'm all ready planning it's decoration with some of the leftover scrapbook paper from the pendants.

also, i made a salad for lunch!  i'm know, i'm just as surprised as you are!  i had some tasty boca meatless spicy chicken patties in the freezer, but no buns to eat them on, only bread.  then i realized if i didn't use bread i could totally eat two of them!  so i put them in the oven, put some sharp cheddar cheese on them and cut them up on top of some lettuce and diced tomatoes.  put a little hot sauce on top.  delicious, and i tricked myself into eating a bowl of lettuce.  :P

banana pudding.

now, as a good southern girl, i could probably make banana pudding in my sleep.  it's one of the few southern belle things i can accomplish (along with delicious sweet tea, but not including anything that needs to be fried).  chris bought all the stuff to make it, but the bananas he got were already close to being really ripe, and he kept forgetting to make it.  we decided last night he needed to make it or else those bananas were off to meet their maker.  

and of course, we forgot about it.

so i made it today.

again, i know how to make a banana pudding.  my problem is i get sort of artsy with it.  i like to have a clear bowl so you can see all the pretty layers.  so my pudding has a vanilla wafer border, a vanilla wafer daisy and a crushed vanilla wafer bed to rest on (i couldn't very well decorate with the broken ones until they were crushed into powder).  i also have a vanilla wafer bias, so the vanilla wafer to pudding ratio is probably a little off. . .

as you can tell from this photo, my pudding was too big for my bowl.  a little way too big.  but that did mean i got a delicious pudding snack,  since if i would have poured anymore in, it would have exploded.  i'm sure it's still delicious though, regardless of how it looks.

in other foodie news, my tummy is still full and sad from mexican food yesterday.  i didn't really think that meal would fill me up all day, but it totally did.  and when i put lunch in it today, it was kinda sad.  D:  oh wells.

rainy day.

so, beginning of a new week, which means weigh in day!  

i am a sad tiffers though, didn't gain but just can't seem to get a way from this 274. . .sigh.  oh well.

today is again very rainy and sad.  i'm gettin' tired of this rain!  it was so nice out yesterday. . .

anyway, today me and chris are going to be good citizens and go give some blood.  i've always wanted to do it, cuz i know if i ever needed some blood i'd want there to be some around!  so it's only fair to give a little bit.  my daddy does it all the time.  i've just never wanted to go by myself, but chris is going too, so i can be brave!

now everyone knows you get rewarded for giving blood right?  well the blood drive is at zaxby's and you get a free meal for donating!!  i haven't had zaxby's in MONTHS and i think i've i'm gonna hand over some blood i deserve a treat.  :P

EDIT:  so chris totally got the date wrong for the blood drive.  it's not for another two weeks.  silly boy.

marshmallow tea.

if your wondering about the title, apparently i made marshmallow tea today.

as a true lady of kentucky i cannot survive without sweet tea.  sweet tea mad the normal way is about 2 points or more a glass, and i don't like to drink my points.  so we switched from regular sugar to sun crystals.  it's a stevia and sugar blend, it's twice as sweet as table sugar and it's only 1 point for half a cup.  put half a cup in a gallon of tea (which has no points on it's own) and you have a 1 point gallon of tea.  since i never drink a whole gallon on my own (chris drinks it as well) i don't even count it.  i generally don't count things that are less than 1/2 a point, i only count 1/2 and up.

chris lately doesn't think the tea is sweet enough, so in the last gallon he added another serving of sun crystals and made the points go up (also, sun crystals are really expensive so i try to conserve them).  i was sad about this.  granted, i probably would only have consumed 1 point of the tea, i just don't like to drink my points. . .

so today, i made the tea as usual with the 1/2 cup of sun crystals and i poured in a little vanilla syrup (which the brand i have is 0 points), hoping to sweeten it up a little more.  it didn't smell any different, so i figured chris wouldn't even notice.

with his first sip, he asked if it was a different brand.

so i confessed to what i did to it.

and apparently it tastes like marshmallows.  chris said he didn't really like to drink  marshmallows.  i still haven't tried it, but i'll give you my opinion on it laters.

anyway, i hope i don't pay tomorrow for eating all of my weekly points.  i'm sure i'll finish them off today, i only have 21 or so left. . .well, maybe i won't finish them, i also have 10 activity points i earned today from cleaning and treadmill-ing.

my weight as pretty much been hovering in the same area the past few weeks, and it's starting to get on my nerves.  i've been doing much better about occupying myself in a way that's not just sitting on the couch, so hopefully that helps out

a yummy activity points day.

my granny's birthday party is tomorrow, so i came back home to my lovely family's house today!  i do miss my dude a little bit though (he had to work, so my daddy just picked me up)!  i haven't slept by myself in over a month!

a mad crazy cleaning day.

so considering we pretty much left chris's party where it was when we went to bed, i've been mad crazy cleaning for the past 2 hours! 

tiffers has:

-done two loads of laundry
-done the dishes
-cleaned the counters
-cleaned the glass tables
-moved my chair/mandy's bed back to the bedroom
-cleaned off the coffee table and put it back where it belongs
-vacuumed the entire house
-mopped all mop-able surfaces
-cleaned all three of my big bathroom mirrors
-cleaned both bathroom sinks
-got inside the bathtub and scrubbed

for two hours of low activity, the weight watchers activity tracker gave me 11 points!  i'm gonna go eat a guilt free 6 point cupcake!  go me!  :D

maintaining blog.

again with the missing me, i know!  had a wedding to attend, a mini-sleepover at my parents, a mini-sleepover at my house for my dude's birthday, then a shopping trip today with the sister and another sleepover at the parents house coming up now since the weather has been kinda iffy.

surprisingly, chris, mandy and i did really well on points yesterday!  the cupcakes were about 6 a piece (some of them were extra fat and some were extra small), the fruits and veggies were zero (but we had ranch and fruit dip, they were both about 2 pts per serving) and pizza from snappy tomato (cheese was 6 pts, buffalo chicken was 7).  i was totally full, but i did eat a couple extra slices of pizza with my remaining weekly points just to indulge in some pizza goodness!

i won't track at you today, i've actually had a really bad day points wise.  we went out to eat at buffalo wild wings and we didn't check the points of anything before hand since we weren't sure where we were going to eat.  turns out chicken tenders there are 5 points a piece and my meal had 6 of them!  i spread it out over two meals, but with our appetizer and the side of wedges i went over my daily points by 13!  D:

luckily, today was the start of the new week, so i have the weekly points to cover it.  chris works 8 hour days all week, so this is probably going to be our only day eating out, so it should be fine.

as far as weigh in, i've been maintaining the past couple of weeks.  if you've seen the numbers, i had a massive weight loss of about 8 pounds in a week, so i figured it would be pretty slow after that.  i also haven't been treadmill-ing everyday because it's been really hard on my knees and back.  i've taken the mentality of 'just keep busy', so i clean a lot, random iPod dance around the kitchen (when i'm alone!) and just trying to keep my mind occupied and away from food.  plus the cleaning gives me activity points too.  so it's all good.

cleaning.

sorry it's been a few days.  pretty hectic, have a friends wedding tomorrow, i have some crafting to do for it!

anyway, i've been putting around mom's weight watchers account for a few days reading up on activity.  at the meetings, they basically said anything could count as long as you were moving.  i had my doubts on that, but i found a whole list of things that (if you do them long enough) count as activity!  so i've been doing double duty, cleaning my house and burning calories.  i try to do at least a half hour of active house work (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and scrubbing things) a day, plus a shorter treadmill period.  the treadmill has been really hard on my back and my knees lately, but if i make sure to get in some extra activity in the day, i can cut my time to fifteen or twenty minutes on it and still feel good.

as it is, today i added a bunch of laundry and even for realsies made the bed today and got to a whole hour of straight cleaning.  i tried to even be conscious of where i was moving and i would go the long way around, anything to be moving.  i put it into the activity tracker and it spit me out 5 activity points!  even going on the treadmill for 30 minutes i would only get 4, so i'm actually ahead for the day.  i still may try to get my treadmill time in, but i do have a lot to do to be ready for tomorrow!  i need to craft another gift (mine was kinda lame, so i thought i'd make a little something more to go with it), i need to get my dress out and see if it needs to be cleaned, i need to do my nails, go to walmart and get a gift bag, a card and some pantyhose (and i guess i need to cook dinner at some point). . .

may skip the treadmill and walk an extra lap or two around walmart.  walmart > treadmill.

a still owchy day!

but not as bad, though.  takin' it easy helps a lot, so after cleaning yesterday i spent the day crocheting.  i hope to finish that project today as much as i can (even though it will be a headless kitty while i wait for his eyes to come in from singapore!) and start my granny's birthday shawl.  i freaking love to make things out of yarn, plus it keep my hands off too much food.  :P

it's weird, i've noticed that some days i wake up ravenously hungry, but other days i have some coffee for breakfast and it's just as good.  but it could be that i got the delicious creamer again so it's sweet and delicious enough to make up for food, but actually only really counts as a snack.  yum.  :D

an owchy day.

sorry i missed my little blogglette's yesterday.  was out and about with the dude while trying not to be in a horrifying amount of pain.

well, maybe not horrifying, but extremely annoying and made me a very grumpy tiffers.  D:  i think i've been working the treadmill too hard and it's made my back very owchy.  i'm taking the weekend off from it, hopefully that will help.

anyway, i won't track at you from yesterday, but it was a game shop day which meant yummy chinese food!  mmm, boneless spare ribs with white rice.  i wish i had some more!  the only downside to that was that i was hungry again when we got home, so i went over my points by 2 yesterday, so i have 47 weekly points left.

my legs.

they hate me right now.

they've been hating me since i woke up this morning.  i would assume it's from that walk i took to the dollar store yesterday, but they didn't hurt yesterday.  only this morning.  sigh.  so treadmill today was extra suckish, so i cut out five minutes early.  but it's alright, i suppose.

a grocery day!

got so many awesome food type items at kroger today.  the store is closing, so all the perishable and frozen stuffs were 30% off.  so we got $90 worth of stuff for only $60, and it was good stuff!  of course, all the meat was gone, i bet people were waiting outside to get some meat!  but we got some frozen dinners, lunch meat, a pillsbury cookie treat (2 pts per cookie!) and some randoms.  pretty stocked up for the moment.  it's nice to have food.  :D

baked chicken parmesan.  i'm waiting for a little bit to put it in the oven.  chris doesn't get off til eight.  granted, that's in about fifteen minutes, but it takes him a little bit to get home, especially if i need something (which i think some garlic bread would be awesome with this, so i think i need something).

a weekly points thought.

so even though your weekly points are still calculated for you to lose weight, i don't think i'm going to try this 'eating them' thing again unless it's a special occasion.  today is the first day of the new week and i gained 1 pound.  it's not too bad, but i think it's a combination of eating all those points and not getting on the treadmill everyday.  at least it's not a horrible irreversible number, i'm pretty sure if i stick to my treadmill this week it will be gone by monday (and hopefully a little more with it)!

i also recalculated my points with the last weight loss i had (still used todays number) and i went down one, so here's my first day at 45 points!

a kitty and starting a new week.

brought my kitty home yesterday!  you can check my other blog for all the kitty-ness.  right now he's under the bed being scared, he's apparently terrified of the treadmill.

tomorrow is the beginning of the new week for me and chris, and this week is the first that i've really used my weekly points for things other than special occasions.  i think my biggest problem is that it's easter season, which mean cadbury eggs!  i was telling mandy how i bought four eggs at kroger the other day (a quarter each!), and i did good the first day i had them and only ate 1 (they're 4 points each).  after that, i left them on top of the entertainment center in my room, which was an awful idea, since the next day i ate one every time i passed by them.  if i had put them in the pantry where i wouldn't see them all the time, i'd probably still have some tasty treats left!

i've learned that if i put the food away i after i have a meal, i'm less likely to keep eating it.  i still have a notoriously bad habit of pan picking, if the food is still on the stove from dinner or something, i'll walk past it and pick at it until it's been put away.  so i'm getting better at putting things away and keeping the snacks out of sight, i have two bags of buffalo chipin's in the pantry and i guarantee if they were sitting on the counter they'd be gone by now too, but i guess out of sight out of mind works great when you're on a diet!

also, i recommend a water filtration pitcher over bottled water.  i never thought i'd say that, but the water is absolutely delicious, doesn't taste like rocks and doesn't fill my trash can up with bottles!  chris got ours cheap at walmart, like $18.  i just pour the water in my stainless steel zombie bottle, fill the pitcher back up and put it back in the fridge.  plus it only takes a few minutes to filter.  it's pretty sweet, just saying.

i'm actually just guessing on the points for the cheese.  the cheese was three points for 1/3 of a cup, which i probably used over all 5 pieces i made.  so the bread itself was 3 pts per slice, the cheese was 3 pts, the whole tray i made was 18 pts and i ate three of them. . .i dunno.  an estimation is sometimes the best we can get. . .was probably about 10 and 1/2 pts, but i hate half points, so i round up.  :B

i got the frosty because i actually wanted a mcdonald's vanilla cone (only 2 pts), but they were closed.  and the sprite. . .i usually don't even want soda, but chris had a mello yellow and i'm just like gosh. . .yummy sprite.  it's weird that sometimes i just crave things i usually never want, just because i haven't had them!  i've had an unusual craving for chinese food, and i used to totally hate it, it's so weird!

so after about a week of being sick on and off, i'm finally up, treadmilling and cooking again!

i'm sad that i didn't go as long as i usually do on the treadmill, but every time i have to stop for a few days i always i have to start at about twenty minutes or my heart tries to pop.  D:  anyway. . .

i finally believe the scale, since on my lovely date night the other day i put on a dress i bought knowing that it didn't fit by a size or so, and it fits perfectly now!  hooray!  so i'm roughly the same size i was when chris and i first started dating two years ago, hopefully i can lose some more!

a sickly sick blog.

sorry for not tracking at you guys.  i have been super sick the past few day, and still am at the moment, but at least my tummy is giving me a break from the toilet.

if you would like to be tracked at, my past couple of days have included powerade, crackers and soup broth.  my attempt at real food have all made me very sad.  D:

if you've check the numbers page, my last weigh in claims that i lost 8 pounds.  i don't believe that at all, but chris' weight seems accurate on the scale, so maybe it is.  i don't know.  i'm not getting my hopes up, but then again, mandy lost 8 pounds in a week before, too.  so i dunno, i don't feel like i've lost that much at all, but when i look up close at my face it does seem a little less pudgy.  i'm gonna wait until i see my mommy next week, she hasn't seen me all week so she'll be able to tell if some of my fat has ran off.

i guess that's it.  i've been sleeping and being sick all day, i think i'm gonna continue on that thread for a while.  supposed to have a date night with my dude tomorrow, but it all depends on if my food decides to stop turning  to complete liquid in my belly.

wtf scale?

so, we got this awesome scale at walmart.  it's all nice and digital-y, it can save the numbers of two people and is nice and compact for storage.

only problem with this scale is that it refuses to weigh you if you sit it on the carpet, and sadly our bathroom is carpeted, save for a little square around the toilet that is way to small to do anything in.  so whenever i want to use it, i have to take it to the laundry room or the kitchen (if everybody feels like weighing that day.

it dawned on me today that i could keep the scale in the closet, since my closet is HUGE (yes, i will continue to brag about it because this closet is the king of closets) and isn't covered in fuzzy carpet.  

off to the closet i go.  the first time it came up really low, and i figured out it was because i was holding onto the closet rod to balance.  i let go of it and it shows me 'E', which means it can't find anything balanced on the scale. see why i was trying to balance there?  this thing can be a total douche sometimes.  after about five more tries to recenter myself, it finally gives me 279.5.  

now, i was just at the health department on tuesday, and weighed 284 point whatever.  i don't remember exactly.  but i find it quite unlikely that i lost like 5 pounds in 3 days.  not that that wouldn't be totally awesome.  but it's still highly unlikely.  

so i headed back to the closet to test this scale again.  after about ten tries i finally got 282.6, which is the only number that appeared more than once, so i am more inclined to believe it.  i consider it a loss for now, i'll check it again first thing in the morning to see what's going on.

gosh, it's already so late!

i'd been trying to get out of bed since about 11, but chris is still sick with some sort of tummy bug, and i felt bad leaving him.  but at about 12:45 pm, i just had to get up, so i'll start the day with lunch!

accidental omelet day.

did you know that you could accidentally make an omelet?  you can.  all you have to do is forget that you're making scrambled eggs and then then they get all omelet shaped.  i'll just remember next time not to cram it full of stuff so that it may flip properly.

so yes.  if it looks like an omelet, just pretend that it was totally what you were going for and nobody will know the difference.  :P

i've missed you, food blog!

i didn't abandon you, you know i love my foods!

i'm finally settled in with the dude, just a few little things here and there that need to find a home in the house and a bunch of cardboard boxed that need to go!  i have to say i'm getting really into this house wife-y type of mood, i wish i could get a bunch of school money so i could continue enjoying it, but the job search must begin!

so, since this is a food blog, on to the food!

i have to say i'm actually really glad to have just maintained my weight the past week or so.  i was trying to arrange things, get stuff out, eating whatever was around but i still kept track as best i could.  i was afraid i had miscalculated since i wasn't really writing it or blogging it here, and that i would have gained, but it's been alright.

i've noticed in the last week that you get a lot more full and feel more satisfied when you cook your own meals.  i never thought i'd say that!  but i'm getting into the groove of cooking, i'm kind of making it up as i go along.  luckily i do have some cookbooks and i have mandy trying out new stuff at home, she always tell me if it's good. :D  i made some amazing lemon pepper pork chops the other night, chris and phil loved them!  the whole dinner was only 13 pts, and that was with two pork chops!  i was totally stuffed and i was so proud of my little meal.  :B

i guess the whole point is that now that i'm learning how to cook, i am enjoying it.  i'm sure i'll get tired of it eventually, but it really makes me happy when chris and phil compliment my food and that makes me want to cook more.  i wish i had some pictures of my awesome meals, i'll have to start doing that when it looks tasty.

my current favorite food is butterscotch pudding!  i eat it basically as a replacement to really expensive (points wise) and bad for you caramel dip.  a half a cup is only 2 pts (maybe less, the nutrition facts list it with 2% milk and i only use 1%) and apples are free.  i can eat two whole apples with that!  i get my fruit in and it's absolutely delicious!  i recommend it even if you're not dieting.  

but, i'll go ahead and track my day for you.

busy!

back again, after another annoyingly busy day yesterday!  sigh!!  my only goal for yesterday was a tiff nap, but no tiff nap was had, so i just slept in extra late today.  :P

had our weigh-in, lost another 1.6 pounds!  i'm still a little behind everyone else, but i'm not discouraged, as long as i lose a pound a week, that's 52 pounds in a year!  so i'm still going!

i was so tired yesterday though, and my poor feetsies were about to die!  grocery shopping for hours, standing in line, and then treadmill time.  then a shower and MORE shopping time!  i was soooo tired.  D:  today is going to be a packing day, just a few more days till i move in with chris!  i'm so excited!  :D

free cookie day!?

sorry i didn't blog yesterday!  busy busy busy!  i'm moving i less than a week, there's so much to do!  spent yesterday with my dude, had to run to the post office on bugglette's business, took a walk in the park (so tired of the treadmill, it was a nice change!), stopped by target to pick up a three barrel curling iron (also known to me as a crimper, only round) since i couldn't find one anywhere else and then lunch.

now, let me tell you a lunch story!

after target, chris was getting hungry.  he's not a breakfast person, so while i had eaten a meal already today he had eaten a fiber one bar.  so i can see how after all the walking (30 minutes in the park and then about 45 minutes in target) he was pretty rumbly.  so we decided on subway.  doesn't seem like a bad choice, really.

when we got in, chris covered up a sign with his arms and told me not to look.  when i finally got to see it, it was an ad for the new raspberry cheesecake cookie.  and i was like, 'i got this.  i don't need a cookie.'  didn't even want or crave a cookie.  got me a six inch sub and some soup, got to the register and guess what?

FREE COOKIE DAY.

i bet the lady was freaked out by use, i bet our eyes got all big at the thought of free cookie.  we took the cookies, chris was saving his (since he has plenty of points to have a cookie) but i was going to save mine for bug.  after eating my meal, i realized i couldn't ignore it's raspberry deliciousness anymore.  D:

more about our weigh-in.

none of us had a great weigh in yesterday.  mom was down 1 pound, mandy totally maintained and i gained a little less than half a pound.  here is what i think happened to us this week.

we felt awesome.  we felt we were doing totally great and that we deserved some reward.  our reward was eating a bunch of stuff we couldn't count.  not even really that we pigged out, but that we ate out and couldn't measure our portions and we went without finding out points before hand.  

i didn't want to know the points that me and chris were going to consume on our anniversary, because i knew they would be bad, but i didn't think they'd be bad enough to ruin my week like they did.  we all went out with chris' parents (it was the first time my family had met them) and even though we didn't eat a lot we had no idea of the values of what we were eating.  so even though it wasn't a lot of food, it may have been more fatty than we had thought.

the chinese buffet yesterday was just a bad idea.  i don't even like chinese food, so i won't be sad if we don't go again.

anyway, it's not failure it's feedback.  as long as we learned something from it we are better off than we were before!

weigh-in yesterday.

so had a sort of bad day yesterday.  i guess sort of a bad week.  went to weigh-in yesterday and gained .4.  which is less than half a pound.  i know it's because of our little celebration time, but i was on that treadmill so much i though i could prevent it.  sigh.

then yesterday for lunch somebody (i think it may have been mom, actually) decided on the chinese buffet.  now, i don't even like chinese food, so i didn't eat too much, but it's all so high in point!  mandy said her meal was probably about 50 points, the lo mein alone was like 14 (luckily had i had no noodle-y dishes).  i had lots of little bites of random meats and chickens and then about half a scoop of white rice.  hopefully not too bad, but just to be on the safe side i ate fruit the rest of the day.  then pretty much just crashed.

i did still treadmill, though, and i looked it up in the pocket book and i actually haven't been giving myself enough points for it, should be 4 instead of 2.

but today is a new day.  had some breakfast and off to treadmill here in a bit, then work at 5:30.

a weigh-in day!

i've been out and about all day, so you just get one big post instead of a bunch of updates!

today was our second weigh-in, and i lost another 3 lbs!  yay!  that means i got a sticker.  and yes, i am proud of my sticker.  :B  i give all credit to the treadmill, and will just have to get used to the idea that i lose more weight by moving!  after weigh-in we bought some more delicious groceries ran some errands and got some tasty taco bell, then i got dropped off at work.  spent most of work pacing and folding shirts.  though i did buy myself an uber cute headband to wear on valentine's day (also know as mine and chris's second anniversary)!

i do want to point out on the taco bell outing, i was feeling awesome and i had the points, so i got a tasty chicken quesadilla and a taco.  it totaled like, 17 pts.  but after i finished my yummy chicken and cheese-y goodness, i was full!  i used to eat two of them and a taco when i would go!  and after just that one, i was full!  i guess i was more conscious about eating it.  i knew it was a lot of points and i wouldn't have another one for a while, so i savored every little bite and it was the best quesadilla ever!

oats. :D

so i just learned that you can make oats delicious with the addition of peanut butter and bananas.  it's the only way (as far as i know)!  yesterday, i made the exact same packet of oats, they were maple and brown sugar to be exact, and they tasted like nothing!  they smelled delicious, but tasted like the tap water i'd used to make them!  gross!  i dumped them out and that's why i ate that leftover steak for breakfast yesterday.  D:

i'm kinda rounding that figure, cuz i didn't use a full cup of milk (which is two points) but used more that a half a cup (which is one point).  and i hate counting half points.  oh, well.  i'm treadmill-ing today anyway, so if i didn't need to count that extra point i'm gonna get it back anyway.  :D

it's 1:30 and i just got done backing cookies!  Here's the recipe if you're interested.  they look really tasty.

but their actually only alright.  they have applesauce in the recipe, it does make them nice and soft but it also makes them taste like apples and chocolate and i don't know if i'm a fan of that.  and they're 1 pt per cookie, which doesn't seem bad but they're pretty tiny.  you can put the whole thing in your mouth and chomp it.  so i dunno.  prefer the meringue cookies.

well, just one of many packing days.  but if i can pack up the little stuff then after my last day of work i can start cleaning up the big stuff!  i have so many little figurines, though, and i'm trying to dust them before i pack them up so i don't have to do it later, but it's taking forever!

on a side note that is actually diet related (since this is the food blog), i hope that it's easier to plan meals when it's just me and chris cooking.  i had an awesome breakfast plan for this morning, but didn't take into consideration that there are other people who wake up before me and who may also be hungry for the last three eggs.  so instead of steak and eggs, i just had the leftover steak.  D:

did you see me earn back a point!?  every 30 minutes of moderate exercise earns you two points!  i started trying to walk on the treadmill at the very beginning of the year and i could literally only go 10 minutes before i though my heart would pop!  i did fifteen today with no problem!  and i don't feel tired, i feel really good!  i'm gonna challenge bug to wii sword fighting!

(i could have actually gone longer on the treadmill, but i really had to pee!  that might be too much info for you, but it's true!)

totally kicked ass at sword fighting.  even if my opponent was a six-year old.

baking day!

just put in another batch of meringue cookies!  they are so good, nice and sweet and you don't have to feel bad about them!  

today i made a batch of vanilla and experimented and made a batch of maple.  they smell just like maple nut goodies!  it will be a nice taste of the pancakes that we can't have (even though i'd much rather have a waffle, but those are kinda off limits, too).

i know it's hard to tell, but these are
full of maple-y goodness!

so on to tracking.  i was pretty proud of my breakfast today, it tasted just like a meats scramble from denny's (only without the sausage, but i hate the sausage anyway!).

breakfast:
scrambled eggs (1 whole and 3 whites), with ham and cheese:  6 pts

was pretty tasty.  one of those points is also from the olive oil i cooked it in.  just about a teaspoon in the pan, but i think that's enough to count.  

lunch:
smart ones chicken carbonara w/ 2 slices garlic toast:  11 pts

snack:
4 meringue cookies:  2 pts
(those maple ones are DELISH.)
2 more cookies:  1 pt

dinner:
1/2 steak:  3 pts
baked potato w/parkay butter spray and cheese:  5 pts
1/3 cup alfredo:  3 pts
bug's leftover alfredo:  4 pts

snow day!

usually a nice snowy day would make me want to curl up with a pack of cookies and then take a nap!  so today i'm trying to keep busy!

we've already been to walmart, picked out bug some cute new glasses (since hers have gone 'missing'), and had a tasty sandwich lunch!  since lunch i've been crocheting an awesome bear headband.  for realsies.

so on to the tracking!

breakfast:

16 points to go, but it's one in the morning and i am way not hungry.

and by the way, i freaking love potato straws!  they taste just like potato chips, they're not nearly as greasy, and the serving size is HUGE (38 straws!) and only three points!  amazing!  i also love the apple cinnamon straws, also a 38 straw serving size, but i didn't get the points on those cuz i didn't have enough to buy them.  D:

oh well!  back to my bear headband!
