the first real day.

it's finally here!  waaaaaah!

but before i start tracking for you, i need to tell you last nights food adventure.

so, last night was a special pay-per-view wrestling event:  the royal rumble.  chris very much wanted to watch it on a real tv and not just his laptop, and it was my last night of relative food freedom, so we looked up restaurants that would be playing it.  one of our all time favorite places, buffalo wild wings, was broadcasting it and we were so excited!!

so we get there, and notice that the parking lot was especially full.  neither of us had really anticipated that anybody else wanted to watch this match, but the place was packed and when we went inside they told us there would be no more seating until the pay-per-view was over.

chris's little wrestling heart was broken, and my little food heart was broken.  D:

but we were still hungry, so i made what was going to be the worst plan ever:  to go to rafferty's, my favorite restaurant ever, and binge as our final meal.  

we got what we normally did, we got an appetizer of bacon cheese fries, i got a plate of chicken alfredo with the italian garlic bread and chris got him a nice steak with garlic mashed potatoes.  i said that we couldn't take any of it home, so we ate every bit of it.

after i finished, i was so stuffed i thought i might die.  or at least throw up bread and pasta chunks all over the table.  when we got the to the truck, i realized how awful that was, and i just felt this urge to walk.  i just needed to walk until i felt better because if we just sat my stomach was going to explode, i'm sure of it.

we went to walmart and walked.  we walked so much and weren't actively buying anything that some mean old lady in there thought we were looking for stuff to steal (which is she would have told this to me and not chris i would have gone off, in retail you can't even mention to somebody you think their stealing unless you saw them take something and conceal it and you have to know where they hid it).  but anyway, the point is i paid for my binge and i don't think i want to pay that price ever again.  it's like there was so much food in me that my stomach was sore trying to contain it.  it was stretched as far as it could go.  D:

so never again.

as far as my first official day goes, i've only eaten 5 points for breakfast and 9 for lunch, but i'm full!

breakfast:
scrambled eggs (one whole and two whites):  2 pts
one banana:  0 pts
diet root beer:  0 pts

snack:
quaker oat chewy granola bar (peanut butter and chocolate):  3 pts

lunch:
lean cuisine, chicken club panini:  9 pts

snack:
banana:  0 pts

dinner:
3 baked chicken tenders:  5 pts
baked potato (with 1 tbs butter and cheese):  6 pts
bottle water:  0 pts

snacks:
weight watchers snack cake:  4 pts
100 calorie pack pringles:  3 pts
sandwich, multi grain bread, roast beef, 1 slice cheese:  6 pts

if you really look at it, i've eaten a lot of food today.  i'm no where near hungry, but still have points left in case i need a snack later!

so still 9 points!  i'm using this blog as a makeshift journal until i get a real one at the next meeting, so you can check back for updates if you wanna watch me fight fat!

my tracker!

so, i screwed up my tracker for the day.  not my points necessarily, but the tracker.

i was trying to add up the numbers of my delicious low-fat buffalo chicken sandwich from subway, but as you know, i eat everything pretty plain.  the nutrition information included the light ranch (which i didn't have on my sammich, gross) and on the wheat bread (i got flat bread) and my lettuce didn't count as anything at all but i'm not sure if the nutrition information included the cheese and blah blah blah. . .

i was trying to just figure up the numbers, but i accidentally added them to my tracker instead, so it took away my points.  D:  apparently there is no reset button on my tracker (even though there should be, there's a spot for one, but there is no button in it), and i thought maybe if i just took the battery out it would reset itself, but no. . .

so i'm gonna try to keep track of it on my blog today.  here we go.

lunch:
1 bottle water:  0 pts
1 ft. long low-fat buffalo chicken sandwich (flatbread, no sauce, plus lettuce and cheese):  20 pts

also currently working on a 3 pt bottle of vitamin water and i have another regular water in my bag for later.  currently not hungry, so i think i'll be alright for a while.  not having too bad a day, though when i go with subway from now on i'm going to get the wheat bread since it's just easier to calculate.  probably go down to the six inch too, could have saved my self 10 pts but i was freakin' starving.  i chugged a bottle of water just to calm my tummy down!

EDIT:  chris found the reset button, you just have to push it until you think it's going to break.  so my current points total is 25 pts.

first day experiment.

so, just joined weight watchers yesterday with my mommy and my big sister.  :D

i decided to not start counting today, since it is a general consensus that you should start a diet at the beginning of the week.  i don't know why.  but that's what people much skinnier than me have said, so i am inclined to believe them.

i did decide, however, to bring my little tracker around with me and see exactly what it is i've been doing to myself.  i told chris i was going to binge all weekend and start dieting on monday, i then downgraded to just eating normally.

sadly, today is not really the best day to consider 'normal'.

today i am with chris, hanging out in a game shop while he judges a magic the gathering tournament.  i do this pretty regularly.  the whole day we eat fast food, because that's all that's around us and there's not really any place to store our own food if we chose to bring our lunch.  thus, today had been HORRIBLE and i have never felt so fat or closer to death in MY LIFE.

let's start with breakfast.  keep in mind, weight watchers has given me 48 points a day and then a weekly allowance of an additional 49 points.

breakfast at mcdonalds:
bacon egg and cheese bagel:  15 pts.
hash brown:  4 pts.
large sweet tea:  8 pts.

there went 27 pts.

lunch (currently still working on it):
boneless spare ribs (about 12 ounces):  38 pts
small white rice:  5 pts.

apparently the only thing i can eat from a chinese place is rice.  i calculated many other items that i would normally eat, and they are ALL AWFUL.

so you see i used MORE than my points in only two meals.  so my tracker started taking from my weekly allowance, of which i only have about 19 pts left.

oh, wait.  i also have two vitamin waters, 7 pts for both of them.

so i have learned that i am a fatty, and this will have to stop.
